Either everyone's sharing the love brought on by too much Hallowe'en candy or karma is trying to make up for the fact November arrived.
Not only did I get an extra hour of sleep on the weekend, I awoke to a few blogging honours:
- Claire Walter of Culinary Colorado bestowed an E for Excellence Award on Christie's Corner for being "a terrific food blog" AND
- Lisa at Magic Sprinkles awarded me a Kreativ Blogger Award for being "lovely and talented"
You can't see it, but I'm blushing.
I know that accepting the honours means I should pass the high-fives along to other deserving bloggers, but having recently given a shout out to some talented bloggers, I would like to pay it forward to you, my loyal readers, in the form of a book give away.
I'll be giving away a copy of Natalie MacLean's funny and informative book, Red, White and Drunk All Over. If you think wine is for snobs, this book will change your mind. MacLean knows a lot about the grape but relays her stories in such a down-to-earth manner you'll never feel intimidated by wine again. You've gotta love a woman who offers pairing suggestions for popcorn.

I'm pretty sure that coffee remark was directed at me. Cruel, but on the whole, fair. Spill coffee on eight books and you wind up with a "reputation".
Did you sneak into my kitchen after my kids went trick-or-treating and photograph their loot?
I've heard wonderful things about that book, and lord knows I need to improve my wine know-how, but you don't have to enter me in the contest. Your past shout-outs are prize enough.
